For the command line frequent users… yakuake!
Warning (linux is ok for the newbie): You don’t need to be a command line wizard to use linux. You can use nice graphical desktop environments such as gnome and kde. A lot of people using linux use the command line because it is (very) powerful, it does not mean it is mandatory…
Maybe you are on of these people who like the command like… And maybe you want to open your shell quickly…
So, what you may like is to get a terminal by just pressing a key! In this case, yakuake may be what you need. (Note: the program is name yakuake because of the game quake that have a similar feature for game commands).
